Professionals

Engineers, Architects, Doctors and Attorneys Have Similiar Practice Concerns

The common ingredient in all professional services is that there are one or more highly-skilled individuals supported by costly equipment, systems and personnel that produce high value output. Medical, dental, legal and engineering are the prime fields. Overhead is costly. Time is money. There must be marketing and promotional  efforts or a solid client base built up after years of successful operations providing a steady stream of clients to keep the operation funtioning profitably.

Technology is affecting professional practices from services to accounting, demanding routine investments in hardware, software and training. Firms  riding on the cutting edge of professional technologies are providing added client value, faster service and broader markets while facing risks of being too far ahead of customer acceptance.

Practices are frequently partnerships with the needs of balancing different personalites, values and styles. Recruiting new graduates, mentoring, attracting established professionals to join, while planning for the retirement and replacement of key persons both professional and support are important projects while keeping jobs flowing, quality high and clients satisfied.
